Zumbathon on May 5 will aid families facing child cancer

By Rita Manno for The Central Record., April 18, 2013 - Many supporters will celebrate Cinco De Mayo Day on May 5 with Zumba dancing, food, drinks and raffles at Lenape High School to raise money for the Emmanuel Cancer Foundation, which serves New Jersey children with cancer and their families.

The event is from noon to 3 p.m. with registration at 11:30 a.m. Preferred Home Health Care and Nursing Services is sponsoring the event and Jamie Westman, a human resource specialist there and a Zumba instructor at Fay Schanne Dance Studio in Shamong, will lead the workouts.

Pre-registration prices are $10 for adults, $6 for seniors and children under 12.

Registration at the door is $15 for adults and $9 for children and seniors.

The Emmanuel Cancer Foundation is a privately funded organization that provides counseling and emergency financial assistance to families in crisis.
