To better service our clients, Preferred Home Health Care & Nursing Services accepts a variety of payment options:
Insurance – Preferred Home Health Care & Nursing Services has a working relationship with a variety of insurance providers, thereby extending our covered services to many clients. We have an in-depth understanding and a variety of policies and procedures in place to ensure smooth relationships with all providers. When applicable, we work with our clients to bill your insurance provider directly to ensure claims are being processed and paid in a timely manner.
Private Pay - Many times, families and individuals must pay privately to ensure their loved one is taken care of in the place they feel most comfortable, at home. As such, Preferred works closely with these families, providing flexible rates and payment schedules. American Express, MasterCard and Visa are also accepted forms of private payment.
Medicaid – Preferred Home Health Care & Nursing Services participates in the NJ and PA state Medicaid programs. These programs offer a variety of options for eligible clients, ranging from personal care services to skilled pediatric and geriatric nursing care. Contact your local Preferred Home Health Care office for more details.
Local Social Services Programs - Many counties offer local support services to their eligible residents who are in need of home health care, but do not have the funds to pay for these much needed services. Currently, we work with several social service programs. To find out more about these services and to see if you are eligible, please call your local Preferred Home Health Care & Nursing Services office.
Workers' Compensation - Individuals who have been injured on the job often choose to recover, rehabilitate and transition back to the work force while receiving the necessary help from a nurse or certified home health aide in their home. We work closely with most workers' compensation carriers.
Veteran’s Benefits - Preferred is contracted with the VA to provide Home Health Care which includes the VA’s Skilled Home Health Care Services (SHHC) and Homemaker and Home Health Aide Services (HHA). SHHC is short-term health care services that can be provided to Veterans if they are homebound or live far away from VA. The care is delivered by a community-based home health agency that has a contract with VA. SHHC is for Veterans who need skilled services, case management, and assistance with activities of daily living (e.g., bathing and getting dressed) or instrumental activities of daily living (e.g., fixing meals and taking medicines); are isolated or their caregiver is experiencing burden.
