HR Assistant

 

For over 35 years, Preferred Home Health Care & Nursing Services has been providing compassionate and dependable medical and non-medical home health care services throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. Through our quality care, we help our clients with the medical, physical, and emotional strain that comes when home health care is needed the most.

Preferred is hiring an HR assistant for our Bala Cynwyd, PA office. In addition to recruiting and retaining per diem nurses and aides for Montgomery County, this individual will be responsible for assisting with maintaining compliance of employee records with all federal and state regulations and Community Health Accreditation Partner (CHAP) standards.

 

Duties of Position

Works with the HR recruiter and credentialing specialist to help oversee all recruiting, compliance, and personnel issues within the branch offices.

Responsibilities of Position

  1. Responsible for the recruitment and selection of employees based on applicant credentials and qualifications, including training and licensure
  2. Uses a consistent and non-discriminating process to select employees as follows:
    1. Conducts personal interviews with all applicants at the time of recruitment and selection
    2. Obtains two employment references and job history
    3. Verifies education, experience, training, and license or certification, as appropriate to job responsibilities
    4. Selects and employs qualified individuals
  3. Assists with coordinating an orientation program for all new employees, including an introduction to the organization, staff, and employee rules and responsibilities
  4. Sends HR documentation via DocuSign and enters all necessary information into CubHub
  5. Schedules new hires for clinical education classes
  6. Ensures that all employees are meeting the performance expectations stated in their job descriptions by communicating with supervisors
  7. Ensures that all employees are in compliance with the mandatory requirements for employment
  8. Assists external staff with CubHub questions and issues
  9. Assists the regional credentialing specialist with external staff’s expiring credentials, in-services, and required documentation
  10. Completes unemployment claims for external staff
  11. Maintains updated list of external staff in Constant Contact
  12. Maintains strict professional ethics, confidentiality, and privacy 

Job Conditions

  1. Position may be stressful in terms of meeting deadlines
  2. High call volume
  3. May require minimal lifting of office records and printouts

Qualifications

  1. A college degree is preferred
  2. Three years of recruiting, human resources, or equivalent experience is preferred
  3. Experience in health care preferred
  4. Customer service-oriented
  5. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  6. Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, manage multiple priorities, and pay meticulous attention to detail
